Fees
The fee for a case is a flat, non-refundable fee. The scope of my representation and the amount of my fee will be fixed at the time of hire.
All costs and expenses, including any investigative expenses, if not paid by the court, are in addition to the fee and are the responsibility of the client, unless otherwise agreed. However, an indigent client’s costs and expenses may sometimes be paid by the court even if an attorney has been hired.
The fee is arrived at after considering the scope of the investigation that must be conducted; the volume of materials that must be reviewed; and the number, novelty, and complexity of the issues that must be researched and addressed. Other factors include the seriousness of the offense, the length of the sentence, and my experience, ability and reputation.
